Don’t throw away broken Christmas lights! Donate them to the third annual Duchesne Academy Christmas Light Recycling Drive.

Duchesne accepts strands of holiday lights of all shapes, sizes, and types.

Duchesne has partnered with Scrap Central, Inc. to recycle the lights. Proceeds benefit Lincoln Firefighters Operation Warm.

The drive is part of the school’s Sustainability Program. Since 2018, Duchesne has diverted more than 1,100 pounds of lights from landfills to recycling programs.

There are two drop off periods: Today until December 18 and from January 5 – 11. Lights are collected at Portry.
